LEGAZPI CITY — Heavy rains triggered a landslide in this city on Monday morning.

Local officials immediately advised the residents near the landslide area in Zone 1 of Barangay Buraguis to evacuate as a pre-emptive safety measure.

Miladee Azur, head of the Legazpi City disaster risk reduction and management office, said the heavy downpour since early morning caused the soil to erode, covering half of the road lane in the area.
