The last time Kohli’s Test average dropped under 47 was back after the Rajkot Test against England in 2016, when it read 46.11.
Kohli nicked one again off Scott Boland, the fourth time in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and the second time at the Sydney Cricket Ground, and the former India skipper’s average currently reads 46.85.
